Car controller - Versions

eCON – THE 3e-CONTROL CONCEPT

SBOX (Control box)  –  Rescue boxes  –  MULTIBOX

What is the basic idea behind eCON in new buildings?

The space available for control components in the elevator shaft is often very limited. The last resort is often to create special wall niches for this purpose. With eCON, consisting of an extremely flat control box (SBOX) and a few small, equally flat function boxes, you will almost always find a suitable “place” in the shaft.

THE CONTROL BOX – SBOX

eCON consists of 4 / 5 boxes:

SBOX – BBOX – MULTIBOX – OBOX – FBOX

1 – SBOX: (49 mm depth)

The SBOX (control box) contains all control components. Their installation is possible almost anywhere, i.e. in the shaft pit, outside the shaft on any floor or in the engine room.

2.0 – Emergency rescue electronics

BBOX: (37 mm depth)
(Emergency rescue module in/on the door frame/brickwork).
The BBOX contains the components for emergency rescue and testing by a named service provider, the plugs for the bypass function and a communication point.

Three versions of the BBOX can be delivered:
the 2.1 – eLOP-BBOX for new buildings with installation in the door frame or into the brickwork and the surface-mounted boxes 2.2 – Z-BBOX or 2.3 – LiSA21-BBox for modernisation.

3 – MULTIBOX: (60 mm depth)

Universal module in the shaft pit for inspection run and switching components for access to the shaft (emergency brake switch and shaft light switch), emergency light and emergency call switch with integrated emergency light. Status light fields for displaying the protected area protection as well as status display and warning signal for the bypass function.

4 – OBOX: (50 mm depth)

The OBOX is the connection box for all components located in the shaft head. Also includes the brake control.

5 – FBOX: (45 mm depth)

Central connection module in the elevator car with the connection board APO16 and the connections for suspension cable, inspection register, absolute encoder (Limax33CP) and safety contacts.

THE RESCUE BOXES

eLOP-BBOX

(509 x 80 x 37 mm) (L x W x D). D = mounting depth, frame cutout = 482 x 82 mm

The eLOP-BBOX (rescue box) is a combination of a standard eLOP (eTAB landing panel) with a 3.5″-TFT display and a rear box with the components for emergency rescue, performance of the ZÜS test and door bypass function. In addition: voice communication with the car and reset button. The front plate and the eLOP can be rotated 90 degrees horizontally, aligned left or right and are equipped with two snap locks. The alignment can be changed on site.

Function of the 3.5″-TFT display with touch screen:

• in normal operation: car position and direction of movement
• in case of emergency rescue: indication of speed, direction of movement and zone position
• in service mode and during ZÜS tests: all required commands via touch entries. Instead of using the
touch screen, you can conveniently access all display parameters using a wireless mouse.

Z-BBOX

(650 x 87 x 37 mm) (L x W x D):

The Z-BBOX (rescue box) is directly mounted on the door frame or the masonry → particularly suited for modernisation. Functions and components are analogous to the eLOP-BBOX. The difference: The TFT display is substituted by the LiSA handheld terminal with an integrated intercom.

LiSA-BBOX

(1000 x 87 x 37 mm) (L x W x D):

The LiSA-BBOX is an extended Z-BBOX with an integrated LiSA21. Provides an absolutely comfortable access to the LiSA21 and at the same time a full landing panel with integrated button and using the handheld terminal as a position indication.

THE MULTIBOX

The world’s first mobile multifunction box

(PROTECTED UTILITY MODEL)

For maintenance work in the lift shaft in which all control, operating and display boxes, which are usually designed as individual components, are combined in one box. Can be integrated into a CANopen network.

CAR CONTROLLER AS A MOBILE CENTER

Using a panel (e.g. hinged panel PK1) allows for an absolutely compact solution, both for the shaft controller (US) and for the car controller (KS).

In the panel box:
– central connection point for the entire car installation
– traveling cable connection
– absolute encoder reading head
–  in the KS: the LiSA20/21 boards including power supply and batteries

In the panel head part:
– all switches and buttons which are usually installed  in an inspection box. Emergency light alarm button and light fields for status indication of various components for safeguarding in case of reduced shaft head

In the hinged panel front:
– all panel components, extended by an emergency  light alarm button
– car intercom
– optional: emergency call system

CAR CONTROLLER AS A MOBILE CENTER

Housing all components (except for absolute encoder and inspection travel device) in the rear box of a tablet instead of the panel described above is the minimum solution of the KS.

Without compromising functionality, a tablet with the dimensions 132 x 1500 x 75 mm (60 mm behind the car wall and 15 mm protruding) can be used. A cutout of only 129 x 1440 mm in the car wall is required into which the tableau is inserted.
